It seems like these days to many people are too critical of the machinimators and commentators on YouTube. They take everything for granted, not realizing how much time directors put into every video they put up on YouTube. Some of them work for hours and sometimes even days to film, edit, render, and post the videos onto YouTube. Many of them spend their own money to buy games so that they can make videos with them to entertain US. Take for example a YouTube commentator with a channel called UberHaxorNova http://www.youtube.com/user/UberHaxorNova He went out and bought games that were made for kids younger than ten such as a Barbie game, NinjaBread Man, and iCarly and made videos with them, knowing that he was wasting his money and would never play the games again. He did this because he wanted to entertain people. He didn’t do it because of money. Sure, he put them on Machinima and was paid for the videos, but that wasn’t why he did it, even though making videos is how he makes a living. If he wanted to make a lot of money he would make Call of Duty videos and post a ton of them to Machinima. He doesn’t, though. He makes videos of games that he wants to do, not caring how many subscribers he gets. This is how every person on Youtube should be.
Another person on YouTube who deserves recognition is Davidr64yt http://www.youtube.com/user/davidr64yt who even among financial problems cared so much about the fans that he did not put adds on his YouTube videos. David has 150,000 subscribers and Nova has more than 80,000 at this time, showing that you don’t need to do Call of Duty of really popular games to get views and subscribers, you just need to be original. The most creative video by far is a video by Nova and Sp00nerism where Sp00n goes to the bathroom while they are Skyping and falls down a hole. Nova launches a rescue mission and falls down as well. They are working on making it a series and I am looking forward to the rest of it.
